Hyperhydrosis is defined as an excessive and non-physiological amount of sweat produced by your body. It could be a generalized situation where excessive sweating appears all over the body. Most common excessive sweating in situated in areas such as the hands (palmar hyperhidrosis), armpits(axillary hyperhydrosis) or feet (plantar hyperhydrosis).
We highly recommend to have a regular consultation with our medical practitioners. This is to assess the effectiveness of the hyperhydrosis treatment and to asses further treatments if necessary.
Avoid spicy foods. When you eat hot or spicy foods your body temperature rises. This stimulates the sweat glands to create more sweat. You can eat tomatoes and grapes, they are foods that help you cool down your body.
Shave regularly, this helps prevent excessive sweating. It may not necessarily stop you from sweating but it can be essential in eliminating body odour. Body odour tends is accompanied by sweat. Hair traps sweat and mixes with the bacteria that causes odour.
Reduce stress. If you are stressed your sympathetic nerves becomes stimulated and will cause the sweat glands to produce high amounts of sweat. Learn to cope in stressful situations. Stay relaxed.
